Day 1
Departure from Johannesburg in the late afternoon. After a 4-hour flight you arrive in Tana, Madagascar and will be transferred to your hotel near the airport.
Day 2
You have the morning free to visit Antananarivo. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Sainte Marie. This slender 57km island is increasing in popularity and has lots of charm; particularly in the small villages. From July to September, several hundred whales swim through the warm sea of Ile Sainte Marie. [BD]
Day 3-6
The next few days here are free. Many excursions are offered and can be organised from your hotel ? fishing, diving, snorkelling, whale watching and visits to surrounding islands such as Ile aux Nattes. There are also interesting sights around Ambodifotatra and the Baie des Forbans. Being less touristy than Nosy Be, you can still feel the authentic Madagascar experience here. The local people here are known for their kindness and hospitality. [BD BD BD BD]
Day 7
You can enjoy your last morning on this beautiful island, before you'll be transfer to the airport in the afternoon for flight back to Tana. [B]
Day 8
The morning is free and you get the chance to see more of Tana. In the afternoon you'll be transferred to the airport to fly back to Johannesburg. [B]
