You arrive in Tana around midday and take a connection flight to Nosy Be in the afternoon. From the airport in Nosy Be you'll be transferred to your hotel. Nosy Be, known as 'The Perfume Island' got its name from the scent of the Ylang Ylang plantation which serves as the raw material for perfume. In addition, Nosy Be is also the centre of sugar cane plantation. Being one of the most popular destinations in Madagascar, this island has lots to offer: beautiful beaches, excursions like Mont Passot and Ylang Ylang distillery. Day 2-6 These days are at leisure. Clients can visit the small islands around Nosy Be such as Nosy Komba and Nosy Tanikely which lie south east of Nosy Be, and have the most beautiful beaches. Nosy Komba is named 'The Kingdom of black lemurs' as the lemurs maccacco maccacco are endemic in the north. Nosy Be is also one of the best diving sites in the Indian Ocean. Clients can relax and enjoy a catamaran or small boat cruise during the day. [B] Day 7 After lunch you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Tana. In Tana a transfer is waiting for you at the airport and will bring you to your hotel. Possible excursions are offered in Tana such as the King's Palace of Ambohimanga, the crocodile farm nearby and city tours of Tana. [B] Day 8 Early morning transfer to the airport to fly back to Johannesburg where your tour ends. [B]
